in-person therapy
Relational somatic psychotherapy offered through in-person, walk-and-talk, and experiential session formats in Port Moody and Anmore, BC.
These sessions integrate psychotherapy with nervous system-oriented and experiential approaches such as breathwork, somatic movement, and embodied awareness practices.
why in-person or experiential work?
For some individuals, certain experiences can feel easier to access through movement, embodiment, environment, or experiential practices rather than conversation alone.
In-person and experiential sessions can support:
• nervous system regulation
• grounding and embodiment
• emotional processing
• stress cycle completion
• connection with the body
• emotional expression and integration
These offerings are still grounded in relational psychotherapy and nervous system awareness, but allow additional space for body-based and experiential work when appropriate.
in-person session formats

Available on Thursdays at BOOM Healing in Anmore, BC.
These sessions combine psychotherapy with experiential nervous system practices.
Clients may choose between:

about BOOM Healing
In-person sessions take place at BOOM Healing, a quiet forest-based healing space in Anmore, BC near Buntzen Lake.
BOOM Healing brings together practitioners from a variety of healing disciplines with a shared focus on grounded, client-centered, and integrative care.
The space itself was intentionally designed to feel calming, warm, and connected to nature. Surrounded by trees and removed from the pace of the city, many clients describe feeling more settled, present, and able to slow down once they arrive.
For individuals with highly activated or sensitive nervous systems, environment can meaningfully shape the therapeutic experience. The quieter pace and natural setting of the space often support a greater sense of grounding and embodiment during sessions.
what is breathwork?
Breathwork sessions use intentional breathing patterns to support emotional processing, nervous system regulation, and connection with the body.
Sessions are trauma-informed, relationally supported, and paced carefully to prioritize safety and integration.
Some individuals experience:
• emotional release
• increased clarity
• greater embodiment
• nervous system discharge
• access to emotions or sensations that feel difficult to reach cognitively
Each breathwork session includes integration support to help process and ground the experience afterward.
what are somatic exercises?
Somatic exercises are guided body-based practices designed to support nervous system regulation, embodiment, emotional processing, and stress release.
These are not fitness exercises.
Practices may include grounding, orienting, breath, posture work, movement, shaking, boundary exercises, or nervous system regulation tools that help the body experience greater safety, flexibility, and connection.
The focus is not performance, but increasing awareness of the body and supporting the nervous system in moving out of survival patterns.
