hi, i’m hunter
I am a deeply curious and highly sensitive person who has often felt a little out of place.
My path into this work began with my own healing from complex PTSD.
I know what it is like to be misdiagnosed repeatedly.
I know what it is like to not feel safe in your own body.
I know what it is like to have no clear sense of who you are.
I also know what it is like to search for help and feel like nothing truly addresses the deeper roots of what you are experiencing.
For a long time I believed something must be fundamentally wrong with me.
What I eventually discovered was that many of my struggles were the natural consequences of a nervous system shaped by relational trauma.
Understanding that changed everything.
understanding complex trauma
Complex trauma affects far more than our thoughts or emotions.
It shapes the nervous system and the development of the self.
When children grow up without consistent emotional safety or attuned caregivers, their nervous systems adapt in order to survive.
Later in life those adaptations can show up as:
• chronic anxiety or hypervigilance
• emotional shutdown
• people pleasing
• difficulty trusting others
• confusion about identity and boundaries
Healing from this kind of trauma is not about returning to who you were before.
It is about building a new internal foundation based on safety, self trust, and connection.
why i do this work
As I began to heal and come home to myself, it became clear that my purpose was to help others navigate similar terrain.
The process of healing relational trauma is rarely fast or straightforward.
But with the right support it is possible to move from survival to stability, from confusion to clarity, and from self protection to genuine connection.
Walking alongside people in that process is one of the greatest privileges of my life.
