my approach

At Soulco⋆therapy, I believe that true healing arises when clinical expertise is woven together with the profound wisdom of the soul. My approach blends evidence-based therapeutic practices with a deep, intuitive understanding of the human experience, supporting you on a transformative journey of emotional healing and self-discovery.

The work I offer is process-oriented and deeply holistic. I focus on helping you transmute emotional wounds and past challenges into opportunities for growth, much like turning “lead” into “gold.” Through this process, we uncover your authentic self and bring more alignment to your life.

Healing is an organic, unfolding journey. I use a combination of attachment-based, somatic, and strengths-based approaches to help you understand how your emotional experiences and relational patterns have shaped who you are today. Together, we explore these dynamics in a safe, supportive space that allows you to reconnect with your body, your intuition, and your innermost self.

A central part of our work together involves exploring the shadow—those unconscious barriers or beliefs that may be holding you back. Using insights from neuroscience, depth psychology and Somatic Experiencing®, we will gently process and let go of stored emotional energy and stuck trauma responses. This helps to bring healing to your nervous system, allowing you to feel grounded and safe as you go through this transformative process.

Throughout our work, I also support you in discovering your innate strengths and resilience, helping you reframe challenges as opportunities for personal growth. As we process and integrate unresolved emotional pain, we aim to transform it into wisdom and strength. My work is about empowering you to realign your life, choices, and relationships with your true self, moving beyond old patterns and stepping into new possibilities.

My approach is compassionate, integrative, and deeply human. By honouring your unique journey and the inner healing intelligence within you, I help you reconnect with your innate capacity for healing and transformation, fostering a sense of empowerment and self-alignment along the way.

services

  • This is the heart of my practice. Our work together blends clinical skill with intuitive attunement, grounded in attachment theory, somatic psychology, and trauma-informed care. Through a relational, process-oriented lens, we explore how your past experiences and relational patterns live in your body and shape your present.

Together, we meet your emotional pain with compassion, gently unwind nervous system responses, and support you in coming home to your authentic self.

I work with clients virtually across Canada, with the exception of those residing in Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, and Prince Edward Island due to licensing regulations.

    Areas of focus include:

Developmental trauma and emotionally immature parents

    Empath recovery from narcissistic dynamics

    Psychedelic and plant medicine integration

    Spiritual awakening and soul-level transformation

  • Whether you are preparing for a psychedelic journey or reflecting on a past one, I offer support through a trauma-informed, harm reduction approach. Together, we focus on grounding your experience, making meaning of what arises, and tending to the emotional and somatic material that comes up. I also offer therapeutic presence during journey days (in your home, within legal and ethical guidelines), along with pre- and post-journey support so you feel safe, resourced, and supported throughout the process.

  • Somatic Experiencing (SE) is a gentle, body-based approach to trauma healing. In a 50-minute session, we follow the natural language of your nervous system: sensation, image, emotion, and movement. This allows us to safely process and release stored trauma. Rather than retelling your story, SE supports your body in completing stress cycles that were interrupted in the past. The result is a growing sense of safety and resilience.

This work is slow, intuitive, and deeply respectful of your body’s pace.

  • A 50-minute breathwork session offers a safe space to release what’s held in the body when words aren’t enough. Using a conscious connected breath pattern, we activate the body’s natural ability to process stuck emotional energy. As a trauma-informed facilitator, I guide you through the breathwork journey and hold space for integration afterward. This helps you land with awareness, self-compassion, and insight.

Breathwork can support emotional release, nervous system regulation, clarity, and a deeper sense of connection with your body and inner truth.

  • This is a guided 30-day container designed to help you deeply understand your nervous system and build a practical toolkit for regulation. Each cohort follows a clear timeline and includes:

    • Weekly teaching videos that break down nervous system states in an accessible, embodied way

    • Three live Q&A sessions at the beginning, middle, and end

    • Daily emails with somatic awareness practices and journal prompts to support integration

    • A downloadable workbook for reflection and tracking

    • Shared community documents for a lightly held, collaborative space

This container is ideal if you’re looking to feel more grounded, resilient, and emotionally attuned in everyday life.

If you have coverage for a psychotherapist or a clinical counsellor, my services will likely be covered under your benefits plan.

Please note that I am unable to provide direct billing services.
I can take payment via Interac e-Transfer or Credit Card (VISA, Mastercard, AMEX), and once I have received your payment I will provide you with a receipt to submit to your insurance provider for reimbursement.

It is your responsibility to check with your provider if my services are covered under your policy.

  • I require 24 hours' notice for any cancellations or rescheduling of appointments. If a session is cancelled within this period, the full session fee will be charged. This policy is in place because I am unable to accommodate another client with such short notice, and it is essential for maintaining a sustainable practice.

  • I am a cisgender woman who uses she/they pronouns, and I recognize the importance of honouring diverse gender identities and expressions. As a white, able-bodied, university educated individual, I am aware of my privileges and strive to approach therapy with humility and a commitment to inclusivity.

I am an ally to the 2SLGBTQIA+ community, and am deeply dedicated to creating a safe, affirming space for all sexual orientations and gender identities. As a neurodivergent person (C-PTSD, ADHD), I bring an understanding of how different brains process and navigate the world. Additionally, I hold a spiritual (non-religious) perspective that informs my approach to healing, seeing each person as a whole being with a unique journey.

Together, these intersections guide my approach to therapy, where I honour your identity, experiences, and path toward healing.

  • "Process-oriented" refers to an approach in therapy (or any form of personal development) that focuses on the unfolding of a person's internal experience over time, rather than just aiming for quick fixes or specific outcomes. In a process-oriented approach, the emphasis is on the journey of healing and self-discovery, understanding that growth and transformation happen gradually, often in unexpected ways, through ongoing exploration and integration.

In therapy, this means that instead of focusing solely on achieving specific goals or addressing problems in isolation, the therapist and client work together to explore how emotions, thoughts, behaviours, and experiences are interconnected. The process becomes the focus—understanding how things evolve, what patterns emerge, and how they shift over time. This allows for a deeper and more organic transformation, where clients are encouraged to tune into their inner world, reflect on their experiences, and discover insights at their own pace.

A process-oriented approach is less about providing a set of "solutions" and more about guiding someone through a deeper self-exploration to uncover meaning, gain awareness, and integrate all parts of themselves. It's about trust in the natural unfolding of the healing journey.

  • While I am trained as a psychedelic-assisted therapist and have previously worked at Numinus in this capacity, I am not currently offering psychedelic-assisted therapy in my private practice. I follow all legal guidelines and ethical regulations surrounding these therapies within my jurisdiction.

I do not encourage or condone the use of illicit substances outside of legally sanctioned, research-based studies or culturally responsible ceremonies. I believe that transformative experiences, such as those facilitated by psychedelics, require careful guidance, understanding, skill, and support. For those seeking integration after such experiences, I adopt a harm reduction approach—promoting safe, informed, and responsible choices regarding drug use.

Although I do not provide recommendations for psychedelic use, I am equipped to support individuals who have engaged with these substances on their own and wish to explore integration in a safe and grounded way. This approach is rooted in fostering a mature stance on drug policy, education, and emotional well-being.

If you're seeking psychedelic-assisted therapy, I encourage you to explore legal, ethical options with providers who specialize in this area.
